Game-Changing therapy? boccia sport tested to boost stroke recovery
NCT ID NCT07254273
Summary
This study tested if adding Boccia, a precision ball sport, to standard physical therapy could help people recover arm strength after a stroke. Twenty-two adults who had a stroke within the last two years were split into two groups: one received Boccia training plus therapy, and the other received therapy alone. Researchers measured changes in arm muscle thickness and grip strength after eight weeks to see if the sport provided extra benefits.
