Boccia game boosts arm muscle in stroke patients, small study finds
NCT ID NCT07254273
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looked at whether playing Boccia, a game similar to bocce ball, could help people who had a stroke improve arm muscle thickness and grip strength. Twenty-two adults with hemiparesis (weakness on one side) did either standard rehab or standard rehab plus Boccia exercises for 8 weeks. The goal was to see if the game-based approach led to better muscle and strength gains.
