Bone protein boosts dental implant success in new trial
NCT ID NCT07240493
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether adding a bone growth protein (rhBMP-2) to dental implants placed right after tooth removal improves implant stability and preserves jawbone. Twenty-four adults with damaged upper front or premolar teeth received either the protein or standard implant placement. Results showed better implant stability and less bone loss in the protein group, suggesting it may help implants integrate more successfully.
