Blueberry breakthrough: can we supercharge fruit nutrition?
NCT ID NCT04175106
First seen Feb 14, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study looked at how healthy adults absorb nutrients from two different blueberry varieties and a blueberry-enriched protein bar. Over three months, 29 participants ate each test meal and provided blood and urine samples. The goal was to see if processed blueberry products offer similar nutrient absorption as fresh berries, which could help improve the nutritional quality of everyday foods.
