Can a cup of blueberries fight inflammation in aging?
NCT ID NCT05937165
Summary
This small pilot study tested whether eating different amounts of blueberry powder (equal to 1 or 2 cups of fresh blueberries) affects how older adults absorb healthy plant compounds and whether it changes markers of inflammation in their blood. Six older adults with mild depressive symptoms tried both doses to see which might be better for future research. The main goal was to gather early information, not to treat depression.
