Simple blood test could flag High-Risk COVID patients
NCT ID NCT05413824
Summary
This study looked at whether a specific marker measured during a routine blood test (called NEU-SFL) could help predict which patients hospitalized with COVID-19 were more likely to die. Researchers analyzed data from over 2,200 patients hospitalized in 2021. The goal was to see if this marker could be a useful tool for identifying high-risk patients early.
