Blood test could personalize cancer treatment

Summary
This study is testing if a simple blood test can help doctors choose the right drug for patients with advanced gastrointestinal tumors (GIST) that have stopped responding to standard treatment. Researchers will use the blood test to look for specific genetic changes in the cancer and then assign patients to receive one of two approved drugs, sunitinib or regorafenib. The goal is to see if matching the drug to the tumor's genetic profile leads to better control of the cancer.
