New blood test could spare men unnecessary prostate biopsies
NCT ID NCT07454603
Summary
This study is testing a blood test called PROSTest to see if it can help doctors decide which men really need a prostate biopsy. It will enroll 1,500 men who have been referred for a biopsy due to an elevated PSA level or an abnormal physical exam. Researchers will compare the blood test results to the biopsy results to see how accurate the test is at predicting cancer.
