Simple blood test could spot hidden Alzheimer's in hospital patients
NCT ID NCT07222280
Summary
This study is testing a blood test to see if it can help doctors find Alzheimer's disease earlier in people who are hospitalized for sudden confusion or memory problems. Researchers will enroll 30 hospitalized patients aged 60-90 who have no prior dementia diagnosis. The main goal is to see if the test can tell the difference between Alzheimer's and other causes of confusion during a hospital stay.
