NCT ID NCT07237984

First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study aims to improve how we screen for colorectal cancer by using a new blood test. Researchers will look for special molecules called oncofetal chondroitin sulfate (ofCS) that appear in tumors. They will collect blood from 2000 people scheduled for a colonoscopy to see if the test can accurately identify who really needs the procedure, potentially reducing the number of unnecessary colonoscopies.
