First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study is testing whether a blood test can identify people who have Alzheimer's-related brain changes, even before memory problems start. Researchers will enroll 2000 adults aged 50-80, some with risk factors like a family history of early dementia. The goal is to see if the blood test can accurately predict who has amyloid buildup in the brain, which is a key sign of Alzheimer's.
