Could a simple blood test replace spinal taps for Alzheimer's diagnosis?
NCT ID NCT07071649
Summary
This study is testing a new blood marker called p-Tau217 to see if it can accurately diagnose Alzheimer's disease. Researchers will compare results from this blood test to the current standard method, which requires a spinal tap to collect fluid. The goal is to find a simpler, less invasive way to diagnose Alzheimer's.
