First seen Feb 18, 2026 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study looks at two types of blood filters (membranes) used in a treatment called continuous blood purification for children with sepsis. Sepsis causes a dangerous overreaction in the body that can damage organs. The filters help remove harmful substances from the blood. The goal is to see which filter works better at reducing inflammation and improving survival. About 80 children, from 29 days to 18 years old, will take part.
