Hidden danger: when wrist blood pressure lies to doctors

Summary
This study aims to understand how often blood pressure readings from the wrist artery differ significantly from readings taken from the groin artery in patients with severe shock. Researchers will monitor 180 critically ill patients who already have both types of monitoring catheters placed by their medical team. The goal is to gather information that could help doctors make better treatment decisions in intensive care.
