Finger cuff could replace needle for blood pressure in risky births

NCT ID NCT04671680

Summary

This study tested a non-invasive finger cuff device to monitor blood pressure in pregnant women with a serious condition called placenta accreta during their C-section. The goal was to see if this comfortable cuff could provide readings as accurate as the standard method, which requires a needle in an artery. The study aimed to help doctors make better decisions about fluid and medication during these high-risk surgeries.
