Blood pressure check method may predict stroke complication
NCT ID NCT03359434
First seen Jan 24, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looked at 455 people who had a stroke and were treated with a procedure to remove a blood clot. Researchers compared two ways of measuring blood pressure in the first 24 hours after treatment: a continuous monitor versus a standard arm cuff. The goal was to see which method better predicts bleeding in the brain, a serious complication. The study did not test a new treatment, but aimed to improve how doctors monitor patients after stroke care.
