Doctors test new monitor to protect brain during surgery
NCT ID NCT05481047
Summary
This study tested whether using a special monitor to predict and prevent low blood pressure during major abdominal surgery helps keep the brain's oxygen levels stable. Researchers compared 48 patients who either received this special monitoring or standard care. The goal was to see if preventing blood pressure drops could better protect the brain during a major operation.
