Scientists hunt for hidden blood mutations in clot patients
NCT ID NCT04477564
Summary
This study aimed to understand if people with a history of dangerous blood clots (venous thromboembolism) have specific, age-related mutations in their blood cells. Researchers tested DNA from 150 patients over 50 years old who had experienced clots. The goal was to gather knowledge about a potential link between these mutations and clotting risk, not to provide treatment.
