Gentle exercise with a twist: boosting hand strength in kids with CP

NCT ID NCT07347795

First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether a special exercise method called blood flow restriction training can help children with hemiparetic cerebral palsy (CP) improve their hand grip strength. The method uses a cuff to lightly restrict blood flow during low-intensity exercises, which may build muscle without heavy weights. Forty children aged 6-12 with mild spasticity will participate, and their grip strength and forearm muscle thickness will be measured before and after training.
