Blood-Cleaning device offers hope for critical liver patients
NCT ID NCT07178366
Summary
This study is testing a special blood filtering treatment for people with a sudden, severe worsening of chronic liver failure. About 56 patients will be randomly assigned to receive either standard medical care alone or standard care plus the filtering treatment. The main goal is to see if the device, which removes toxins from the blood, can improve liver function and help patients survive without a transplant.
