Can a simple blood test predict deadly clots in ICU patients?
NCT ID NCT06357403
Summary
This study aims to understand if a specific blood test (anti-factor Xa activity) can predict the risk of dangerous blood clots in critically ill patients in the intensive care unit. Researchers will observe 1,300 patients to see how the test results relate to clot formation, bleeding complications, and patient recovery. The goal is to gather knowledge that could help doctors better manage blood-thinning medications in the future.
