Hidden blood clot danger in pancreatitis patients under investigation

Summary
This study aims to understand how often dangerous blood clots form in the major abdominal veins of people hospitalized with sudden pancreatitis. Researchers will observe 500 patients to see if these clots are more common in severe cases and track what happens to the clots over six months. The goal is to gather information to help doctors better predict and manage this serious complication.
