Baby-led weaning beats parent-led feeding in new study
NCT ID NCT07467876
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looked at how well parents stuck to two different ways of introducing solid foods to babies aged 6-12 months: Baby-Led Introduction to SolidS (BLISS), where babies feed themselves, and Parent-Led Weaning (PLW), where parents spoon-feed. About 130 infants took part. The results showed that more families in the BLISS group (78.5%) followed the method compared to the PLW group (52.3%). The study helps understand which feeding approach parents find easier to follow.
