Urine test could spare bladder cancer patients from frequent scopes

NCT ID NCT07511517

First seen Apr 08, 2026 · Last updated May 03, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a urine test called BladMetrix can safely detect bladder cancer coming back after surgery. About 500 adults with non-muscle invasive bladder cancer will provide extra urine samples during their regular check-ups over two years. Researchers will compare the test's accuracy to standard camera and lab methods, hoping to reduce the need for uncomfortable cystoscopies.
