New hope for kids with spina bifida: bladder drug may delay surgery

Summary
This study tests whether a drug called oxybutynin, given directly into the bladder, can improve bladder function in children with spina bifida who have not responded well to oral medication. The goal is to increase bladder capacity and reduce the need for more invasive treatments like Botox injections or surgery. About 60 children will participate, and the main measure is change in bladder size after 4 weeks of treatment.
