New trial offers hope to keep your bladder during cancer treatment

NCT ID NCT06290687

Summary

This study is testing whether removing only the cancerous part of the bladder, instead of the entire bladder, is a safe and effective treatment for muscle-invasive bladder cancer. About 40 participants will receive standard chemotherapy before and after surgery, followed by the partial bladder removal procedure. Researchers will track cancer recurrence, complications, and, importantly, how the treatment affects patients' quality of life and urinary function.
