First seen Nov 10, 2025 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tests if placing a numbing medicine (bupivacaine) into the bladder after kidney stone surgery can lower pain and improve recovery. About 116 adults having ureteroscopy with stenting will receive either the medicine or a saltwater placebo. The goal is to see if this simple step reduces pain, bladder spasms, and time in the hospital.
