NCT ID NCT02865837
First seen Mar 30, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study looked at 22 women with cervical cancer to see if keeping the bladder empty during a type of internal radiation therapy (brachytherapy) lowers the radiation dose to nearby organs like the bladder, rectum, and bowel. Each patient was scanned with both an empty and a full bladder, and the radiation doses were compared. The goal was to find out which bladder condition is safer for healthy tissues.
