New bladder cancer treatment aims to shrink tumors before surgery

NCT ID NCT06394570

Summary

This study is testing whether combining a targeted cancer drug (enfortumab vedotin) with precise radiation therapy can help shrink tumors before bladder removal surgery. It's for patients with muscle-invasive bladder cancer who cannot receive standard cisplatin chemotherapy. The research will first determine the safest timing for giving the two treatments together, then see how well they work at eliminating cancer cells in the bladder before surgery.
