New program aims to ease recovery for bladder cancer patients and their caregivers
NCT ID NCT04055311
Summary
This study tested a support program designed to help bladder cancer patients and their caregivers through the challenging recovery period after bladder removal surgery. The program combined in-person nurse coaching before surgery with access to a special recovery website after surgery. Researchers wanted to see if this approach improved quality of life for both patients and caregivers and reduced infections and unplanned medical visits.
