New shot aims to keep bipolar disorder symptoms at bay

Summary
This study is testing whether adding an investigational medication called brenipatide to a person's current bipolar disorder treatment can help delay the return or worsening of symptoms. It will involve about 400 adults with bipolar disorder who will receive either brenipatide or a placebo (inactive shot) along with their standard care for at least six months. The main goal is to see if the new treatment helps people stay stable for a longer period of time before their symptoms relapse.
