Blood markers may forecast kidney comeback in dialysis emergencies

NCT ID NCT07637435

First seen Jun 16, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026

Summary

This study looked at 170 adults who needed emergency dialysis for sudden kidney failure. Researchers measured three blood markers (Activin A, Nostrin, and Angiopoetin-2) before dialysis to see if they could predict whether the kidneys would recover or if the patient would die within six months. The goal was to find simple tests that help doctors make better treatment decisions.
