New study links biomarkers to kidney decline in lung patients
NCT ID NCT06409624
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study examines the connection between certain biomarkers (substances in urine and blood) and kidney function decline in 350 adults with pulmonary hypertension, a type of high blood pressure affecting the lungs. Participants undergo a heart procedure and are followed to see if they experience kidney problems, need dialysis, or die. The goal is to better understand kidney risks in this group, not to test a new treatment.
