Electric bandage tested to speed healing of painful skin condition

NCT ID NCT05057429

Summary

This small study tested whether a special bioelectric dressing could help skin heal better after surgery for hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), a painful skin condition. Researchers enrolled 12 adults with HS to see if the dressing could speed up healing, reduce pain, and improve scar quality after a procedure called de-roofing. The goal was to find a better way to manage wounds and improve quality of life for people with this chronic condition.
