Summary
This study tested whether a daily supplement called bioarginine can improve breathing and quality of life in people with COPD. 153 adults with moderate-to-severe COPD took either bioarginine or a placebo for 6 weeks, in addition to their usual inhaled medications. The researchers measured changes in breathing symptoms and daily activity using questionnaires and a walking test.
