First seen Feb 23, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tests whether listening to a 30-minute audio track with special binaural beats, adjusted in real-time based on brain activity, can reduce stress and improve thinking in 32 college music majors preparing for a concert. Participants will have brain scans and do tasks before and after listening to either the real intervention or a sham (fake) version. The goal is to see if this approach can calm stress-related brain regions and sharpen memory and focus.
