Sound waves target brain to calm uncontrollable shaking
NCT ID NCT03465761
Summary
This study tested a focused ultrasound procedure to reduce shaking in both hands for people with essential tremor who don't get enough relief from medication. It involved treating one side of the brain, waiting at least nine months, then treating the other side. The goal was to see if this two-part approach was safe and effective for improving daily activities like writing and eating.
