NCT ID NCT06564441
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a new weight-loss injection (BI 456906) changes how the body processes three common drugs: bupropion (an antidepressant), caffeine, and midazolam (a sedative). Thirty-four healthy adults with overweight or obesity took these drugs alone and then again while receiving weekly injections of BI 456906. Researchers measured drug levels in the blood to see if there were interactions. The goal was to understand safe dosing for future use.
