First seen Nov 15, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study looks at how the body processes a new medicine called BI 1291583 in people with and without liver problems. The drug is being developed for bronchiectasis, a chronic lung disease. About 32 adults will take a single dose of the drug, and researchers will measure its levels in the blood over time. The goal is to understand if liver impairment changes how the drug works, which helps guide safe dosing for future patients.
