NCT ID NCT04664829
First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This early-phase study tested whether the drug bexarotene can change the behavior of triple-negative breast cancer cells that have stopped responding to taxane chemotherapy. The goal was to see if this change could make the cancer sensitive to chemotherapy again. Twelve women with metastatic triple-negative breast cancer participated. The study focused on understanding how the tumors changed at the molecular level, not on directly treating the cancer.
