First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study compares bevacizumab, a drug that blocks blood vessel growth, to standard steroid treatment for people with brain damage from radiation therapy. About 408 adults with brain tumors or high-grade glioma who develop symptomatic radiation necrosis will be randomly assigned to one of the two treatments. The goal is to see which approach better improves daily function and quality of life while reducing the need for long-term steroids.
