New surgical technique aims to fix failed eyelid surgeries in africa

NCT ID NCT07322302

Summary

This study aims to find the best surgical method for people in Tanzania who need a second eyelid surgery due to trachoma, a blinding eye disease. It will compare a newer technique (B-RAP) against the standard one (BLTR) in 1,000 patients whose first surgery failed. The goal is to see which method provides longer-lasting relief from painful, vision-threatening eyelashes rubbing the eye.
