MRI-Guided biopsies outshine standard method for aggressive prostate cancer

Summary
This study tested whether using MRI to guide prostate biopsies finds more aggressive cancers than the usual ultrasound-guided method. 275 men with suspected prostate cancer had both types of biopsies. The goal was to see if MRI-targeted biopsies detect more high-grade (Gleason 7 or higher) cancers, potentially reducing missed diagnoses and unnecessary treatment.
