New tech aims to spot aggressive prostate cancer earlier
NCT ID NCT05064111
Summary
This study is testing new software that combines MRI scans with live ultrasound images during prostate biopsies. The goal is to help doctors more accurately find and diagnose aggressive prostate cancer early. Researchers will enroll 100 men who are already scheduled for a standard prostate biopsy and have had a recent MRI scan. They'll also collect blood samples to look for biomarkers that might indicate aggressive cancer.
