First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jul 14, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study is testing a new type of PET scan to see if it can tell the difference between cancer that is still there and swelling caused by radiation treatment in people with head and neck cancer. About 180 adults who finished radiation therapy will get this special scan 3 months later. The goal is to help doctors know for sure if more treatment is needed or if the area is just healing.
