New pain scale aims to stop overtreatment after surgery

NCT ID NCT07310953

Summary

This study is testing a new way to measure pain after surgery. The goal is to see if a new scale, which considers both pain level and how much it limits a patient's ability to move and do activities, leads to better decisions about giving extra pain medicine. Researchers will compare this new method to the standard pain scale in 76 patients recovering from lung surgery.
