Glowing dye could make esophageal cancer surgery safer and more precise

NCT ID NCT07303231

Summary

This study is testing a special fluorescent dye to help surgeons see which lymph nodes might contain cancer during surgery for esophageal cancer. The goal is to remove only the necessary lymph nodes, potentially reducing complications and recovery time. Researchers will compare this new imaging method to the standard practice of removing many lymph nodes to see if it is just as accurate.
