Computer alert aims to pick Life-Saving fluids for sepsis

NCT ID NCT06253585

Summary

This study tested if a simple computer alert could help doctors choose the best type of IV fluid for certain patients with sepsis, a life-threatening infection. Over 2,000 adult patients were randomly assigned to either have their doctors receive the alert or follow usual care. The goal was to see if this guided approach could help more patients survive the first 30 days of their illness.
