New eye scan could revolutionize diabetic eye care

NCT ID NCT03922932

Summary

This study is testing a new type of eye scan called OCT angiography (OCTA) to see if it can better detect and measure damage from diabetic retinopathy. The goal is to provide doctors with clearer, more objective pictures of blood flow in the eye without needing dye injections. Researchers are enrolling people with and without diabetic eye disease to compare the new scan against current methods.
