ERs get new tool to spot hidden danger in seniors
NCT ID NCT05638945
Summary
This study tested a new training program to help emergency department (ED) staff better identify delirium in older adults. Delirium is a sudden state of confusion that is often missed but can lead to serious problems. The program trained 'champion' staff members to teach their colleagues how to screen for and document delirium more consistently.
