New scan aims to cut heart attacks from missed chest pain clues
NCT ID NCT07140419
Summary
This study is testing if a special type of CT scan can help emergency room doctors make better decisions for patients with chest pain who are at moderate risk for heart problems. It will compare the new scan approach to standard care for 2000 patients to see if it leads to fewer serious heart events like heart attacks. The goal is to find a faster, more accurate way to figure out who needs urgent heart treatment and who can safely go home.
